As I lie here daydreaming
Reminiscing on days past
My mind can’t decide what was real & what was my dream
Why does it seem all good things have to come to an end?
Is that life? Luck? Karma?
If it were that simple would it be too good?
Does God not believe we would truly appreciate it?
Or does the devil try THAT hard to stay one step ahead?
As good as things were, are they really the past?
Is moving on really the best thing, or is it worth one more try?
When we touch I can feel your energy, your heart racing
A true indicator that you want things to go back as well
Damn your ego! Mine as well…Pride is what keeps me at a distance
Emotions is what keeps me close by
But your ego will push me away for good & we will never know just how good it could really be
As good as it once was, it can only get better
Silence is the deadliest killer,
& your lack of verbal communication keeps my heart in pain
As I lie here I pray for a better understanding…
