Return of the Jedi ;-)

It's been a while and a LOT has happened between my last post and now. Heck, I almost forgot I had a blog until I looked at my Twitter profile to update my avi.
So let me give you the skinny:
At the end of 2011 I bought a condo *yay!*
2011-2017 a bunch of BS lol
Aug 2017 I had my second bundle of joy, another baby boy :-)
BOOM!! Here we are :-P

So, details of the BS portion aren't really important, but what IS important is the progress during and afterward. I recently went through some extremely rough times that brought me back to writing and I decided to share some of it here.
It'll be like a series of sorts.

Seasonal people

I have done somethings in my life time I am not too proud of, but I would never change them because they have helped me grow.
As long as you apologize & pray you can move forward. Not necessarily for that person to forgive you, but so you can move on with your life. That is their conscious & karma they have to deal with for holding onto anger. It is better to just let it go.
You can't stay friends with everyone, some people you just have to let go and let God. As hard as it may be, no matter how close you had been with them, they were only there for a season. And within that season you should have learned a thing or two and apply it to your future. Most people are in your life for a season, you learn a lesson, apply it, ad move on...you can't hold on to seasonal people. If you do it will throw off your whole balance and cause more friction than it was supposed to.

New Year??

The New Year represents a time of change. A time when you set a few goals to accomplish and maintain throughout the entire year. Now whether or not you follow through with these resolutions or not is entirely up to you. Are you motivated enough to follow through? Did you set reasonable goals? Are you the type of person who sets a goal every year and never even start? Maybe 2011 is finally the year for you!!! Or did you say that last year as well?

No one can motivate you, this has to come from within. If you can't then who can? Any changes needed to be made in your life have to start with YOU. Take today to really think about what you can and want to change. Make sure its reasonable. Once you start it's like an infection, it spreads onto the next thing and the next and so on until everything you ever wanted to change is in process.

Start small and watch it snowball effect in a good way!

What does Love means Love?

Many people don't know what love really is. We use the word daily but never truly know its meaning or its power. Dictionary.com defines the word love as:

-Noun

1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.

3. affectionate concern for the well-being of others:

-Verb

1. to have love or affection for

2. to have a profoundly tender, passionate affection for(another person).

The way the dictionary portrays love, one would need to actually CARE about a person, or have a concern for them before they could love them. Care about a person in whole, their well being, their emotions, etc. So in actuality most of the people who chose to use this word use it incorrectly. Your actions should mirror your words. So if you indeed do love someone you also hold them in your heart, you genuinely are concerned with their well being. You personally would never intentionally inflict harm on them. If you could prevent such you would.

Just think next time before you misuse the word, do you actually care for this person? If you had the opportunity to prevent harm from coming their way would you assist? If you can't honestly without hesitation say yes then you should reevaluate what YOU think love is and take in what the dictionary says. Maybe you should use another word altogether.
